Treatment and Impact

True Lhamo, aged 39 years came to Doctor Kares Hospital from Bodhgaya, Bihar in March 2009. She complained of low back pain associated with radiation to the right leg since 3-4 months. Patient had a failed backed surgery syndrome with right microdiscectomy done in Thailand in 2006. She had responded well to the treatment, but then the pain increased severely. On examination, her SLR was 60 degrees on the right side, and 80 degrees on the left. The MRI impression indicated recurrence or residual disc L5-S1.

In June 2009, True Lhamo underwent a series of injections comprising intradiscal ozonucleolysis, ozolysis and selective foraminal root injections.
