Treatment and Impact

Sushila Kohli, aged 78 years, came to DKH from Sagar, Madhya Pradesh in March 2011 with complaint of knee pain in both legs. She has suffered pain for the past 10-12 years, and the pain had escalated since 4 years when she contracted Chikungunya. This prevented her from walking even a few metres.

The doctors are DKH planned for a knee replacement as she was osteoarthiritc. After a detailed examination, the TKR was undertaken two days later. The procedure was without complications and the results were every good.

Mrs. Kohli was assisted in walking from the third day and continuous physiotherapy was used as an adjunct therapy. She was discharged on the fifth day and went home a happy person.
